# Referral System

## 6. Referral System

Every connected wallet has a unique, persistent referral link. When a new wallet uses that link and places its first bet, the referring wallet earns +10 points (Section 5.1).

### 6.1 Referral Link Format

Wallet-based referral links are used for in-app and social sharing:

<https://kakenft.bet/?ref=0xYOURWALLETADDRESS>

### 6.2 Referral Rules

* Referral relationships are recorded in the backend database and linked to the referred wallet address.
* Points are credited only when the referred wallet places its first bet — simply visiting via a referral link does not trigger a reward.
* Each wallet can be referred exactly once; subsequent referral attempts on an already-referred wallet are not counted.
* Self-referral (a wallet using its own referral link) is explicitly disallowed and not counted.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kake-1.gitbook.io/kake-docs/referral-system.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
