# Points, Rewards & Leaderboard

## 5. Points, Rewards & Leaderboard

Kake maintains a points system to recognize and reward active, high-quality participation. Points are independent of payout claims — a wallet earns points for engagement regardless of whether a given bet wins — and are surfaced on a public leaderboard.

### 5.1 Earning Points

| **Action**                               | **Points Awarded**                               |
| ---------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ |
| Place any bet                            | +3 pts (per-bet engagement bonus)                |
| Stake 150 USDG in a single bet | +10 pts (per 150 USDG, scales with stake size) |
| Refer a wallet that places its first bet | +10 pts |
| Hold a 7-day activity streak             | +10 pts, repeating every 7 days the streak holds |

### 5.2 Kinsman Governance Points

Kinsman NFT holders earn an additional, separate set of points for participating in governance — proposal votes, custom market proposals, and Kinsman-resolved market votes. These are tracked on a **separate governance leaderboard** rather than the general one, since they measure a different kind of contribution.

| **Action**                         | **Points Awarded**               |
| ---------------------------------- | -------------------------------- |
| Submit a governance proposal       | +10 pts                          |
| Cast a vote                        | +5 pts                           |
| Have a submitted proposal approved | +25 pts (bonus, to the proposer) |

### 5.3 Leaderboard

The general leaderboard ranks all participating wallets by cumulative points and displays, per wallet:

* Wallet address
* Total points
* Total USDG volume wagered
* Total bets placed
* Total wins
* Referral count
* Global rank

The governance leaderboard tracks Kinsman-specific points separately, per the table above.

### 5.4 Rewards

Leaderboard standing is used to recognize top participants through USDG-denominated rewards distributed periodically at the protocol's discretion. Reward structures are announced via official channels ahead of each distribution and are separate from round payouts, which are claimed directly and trustlessly from settled Round contracts regardless of leaderboard standing.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://kake-1.gitbook.io/kake-docs/points-rewards-and-leaderboard.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
