# KinsmanNFT

I know a Kinsman by how it feels, not how it looks.

KinsmanNFT is the official NFT collection of the Kake ecosystem. [View the collection on OpenSea.](https://opensea.io/collection/kinsman-246119892)

Kinsman is a PFP collection about being human. Not the curated version of human. Not the highlight reel. The full thing.

The name itself is about recognition. The moment you look at another person and see yourself. Not because you're the same, but because you're made of the same material. The same capacity for grace. The same capacity for ruin.

Now — culturally, that's what Kinsman represents. But we also believe cultural movements need sustainable economics. So we've built a multi-layered value model for holders.

* **Resolver Authority.**

Kinsman holders act as the resolver for disputed market outcomes that can't settle onchain on their own.

When a market's condition is subjective, or a resolution gets contested, it doesn't go to some anonymous validator set. It goes to Kinsman.

That's the jury from the resolver architecture. The arbiter of last resort for every market the other resolvers can't cleanly settle.

Own the NFT, you're part of the mechanism that decides what's true on the platform.

* **Revenue Share.**

Access to protocol revenue distribution from Kake platform fees.

Every deposit into every market on Kake generates fees. Kinsman holders have a claim on that, not speculative upside on a token, direct exposure to platform activity.

* **Curation Power.**

Proposals and votes on which collections get listed on the Kake platform.

Kake isn't an open free-for-all NFT collections. What gets listed is gated, and Kinsman holders are the gate. That's control over the platform's supply side — which markets even get to exist.

* **Creator Capital Markets.**

Access to create custom prediction markets and earn from their activity.

Only Kinsman holders originate custom markets. Launch, drive volume, earn a cut of the tax it generates.

#### Governance Mechanics

Two things go through a formal Kinsman vote: new Custom Market proposals, and new collections for the standing rounds. Both run on the same rule:

* **60% of weighted votes** wins immediately, once at least **3 distinct wallets** have voted.
* Short of that, the vote runs its full period and whichever side has more weight at the deadline wins. An exact tie is rejected outright.
* If fewer than 3 wallets ever vote, the proposal is voided — it's not decided by whoever happened to show up.
* Voting period is set by whoever's proposing, from **1 hour up to 30 days**, defaulting to 7 days.

**Vote weight** is a wallet's Kinsman balance adjusted by a reputation score, ranging **0.5x to 1.5x**. Reputation climbs slowly on positive signals — voting with the eventual outcome, getting a proposal approved — and drops when a wallet backs a proposal that's decisively rejected (a clear bad-faith signal, not just an honest miss).

Governance participation earns its own points, tracked separately from general platform points — see the Points, Rewards & Leaderboard page, Section 5.2.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kake-1.gitbook.io/kake-docs/kinsmannft.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
