# Overview

1\. Overview

Kake is a parimutuel prediction market protocol specifically built for NFTs. It enables users to forecast NFT collection floor price movements, create custom prediction markets around arbitrary NFT-related events, and earn USDG payouts. The protocol is live on RobinHood Chain.

Unlike order-book or AMM-based prediction markets, Kake uses a parimutuel model: all stakes for a given outcome are pooled together, and at settlement the losing pool is redistributed proportionally to winners. There is no counterparty risk from the platform itself and no fixed odds — payout ratios are determined entirely by the relative size of the opposing pools at lock time.

### 1.1 Design Philosophy

Kake's core design goal is to make NFT floor price speculation accessible without requiring liquidity provisioning, order matching, or counterparty discovery. Because every round's payout pool is fully funded by participant stakes, the protocol does not need to manage its own risk book. The platform fee (10% of each settled pool) is the protocol's sole revenue mechanism for standard rounds; for Custom Markets, the protocol shares a portion of that same fee with the market's creator as an incentive to seed activity (see Sections 3.3 and 4.2.1).

### 1.2 Two Products

Kake runs two parallel products on the same fee and payout logic:

* **Standing collection rounds** — a continuous PUMP/DUMP floor price game running on a list of collections (Section 2).
* **Custom markets** — arbitrary NFT-related questions proposed by Kinsman NFT holders and opened to public betting once approved by governance (Section 4).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kake-1.gitbook.io/kake-docs/overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
